An interstate telehealth registration is not a license to practice medicine and surgery in West Virginia, and only authorizes practitioners to provide telehealth services to West Virginia patients.
Effective at 11:59 pm Eastern Daylight-Time (EDT) on March 31, 2025, all current interstate telehealth registrations for medical doctors and physician assistants will expire unless successfully renewed during the Board’s renewal period.
Interstate telehealth registration renewal begins on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 8:30 am and ends at 4:30 pm EDT on Monday, March 31, 2025. Failure to renew by this deadline will result in registration expiration. Because there is no grace period for practice after expiration, the Board strongly encourages early renewal to avoid unexpected problems or delays in renewal completion.
